Update 5

We have made one of the most difficult decisions we’ve ever faced.  We have decided to have a bilateral mastectomy.  This will give Tess the lowest chance of reoccurrence.  We informed the doctors this evening and will await the scheduling of the surgery.  Hopefully it will happen soon.  We consulted with the plastic surgeon today and decided that she will also have reconstructive surgery at the same time.  It will be a traumatic operation and she will be laid up for several weeks afterward, but this plan gives her the best shot at remaining cancer free and living a normal life.

We still see God working through all of this in the lives of others but mostly in ours.  He has drawn us closer to him and to each other.  Tess said, “It feels like we hit the lottery in prayer.”  God has truly blessed us with the people he allows us to do life with.

Hi Scott and Tess -
Last night at Worship Band practice Kerry Arthur shared Psalm 91 with us. It reminded me of how secure you both are in the Lord and how He WILL continue to uphold you both and the girls at this time. We prayed for you during our prayer time!

Here's a few of the verses that stood out to me from Psalm 91:

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;he is my God,and I trust him. 3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease. 4 He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. 5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day....14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. 16 I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

Scott and Tess - we love you and will continue to pray daily for you! (Rob and Carol Ann)

Tess and Scott-Your courage and faith are being watched closely and I am telling you: God is using you to encourage (literally: give courage) to so many people right now! Myself included! Nothing is impossible for God!

Tess-we're praying!
