It’s interesting how people from my past have become
frozen in my memory. One of my best
friends growing up, Brian, was a typical all-American kid. He had brown hair, freckles, and braces. We use to hang out all the time, and get into
a lot of trouble. I can vividly picture
his boyish face in my mind.
I was thinking about him the other day and realized that I’m 40 yrs old, and that would make him 41. I tried to age the picture in my head to what I thought he would look like today – I couldn’t. In reality he’s a grown man like me, but in my mind he’s still a freckled-faced 11 yr old.
It reminded me how this life is just a single blip on the radar screen.
